In Heidelberg there is a new University of Cooperative Education. In October 2006 the officially-recognised, non-profit making International University of Cooperative Education belonging to the F+U Group opened in Heidelberg - offering the Business Studies course with many course specialities.
The new model of the University of Cooperative Education, a model with a convenient alternation between theory and practice in the course of any one week, was developed in cooperation with regional companies and the F+U Group.
Each week, 20 hours of academic studies and 20 hours of in-company training are scheduled. This assures, at an early stage, an uninterrupted and intensive involvement of the students in company procedures and a close dovetailing of theory and practical experience.
