In Darmstadt a new University of Cooperative Education has been opened. Since October 2006 the International University of Cooperative Education at the Darmstadt study centre offers the Business Studies course with many course specialities.

The new study course model alternates between theory and practice in the course of any one week. Each week, 20 hours of academic studies and 20 hours at work have to be completed respectively. This assures, at an early stage, a smooth, intensive involvement of the students in company procedures and a close dovetailing of theory and practical experience.
